Overseas ATM Charges - Help!
Comments
-
Fewer and fewer Spanish ATMs are now fee free - most apply a surcharge.
You really have to search out those that still don't.
Santander are seemingly the highest at 5 Euro per transaction.
However if you have a Santander debit card, and meet the minimum £500 monthly account pay in condition, there are no fees at a Santander branded ATM in Spain and the Canaries.
Their Everyday Current Account is a good deal in this scenario if you are a regular to Spain - no Direct Debits required to maintain the account.
Sounds as if similar scenario in Greece for hole in the wall usage.
It's not Caxton imposing these charges.0
