DIYKitchens.com

Thinking of purchasing a new kitchen from DIYKitchens.com but heard mixed reviews from friends who have gone with them, including paint coming off the units after a while. Anyone had a similar experience?

    Fingers crossed.

Hearing lots of stories of not everything turning up on first delivery. Reviews were reflecting that the last time I had a look.

It's happened this week with someone I follow on Instagram.

I find their online customer service tickets system unbearable. At busy times they can take two days to respond to an email (they say 24 hours anyway) Then, if you reply to their reply you go to the bottom of the list again and wait! A conversation with a company you pay thousands to should not take weeks to conduct.

I had every intention of buying from them earlier in the year, but after 8 days of just trying to get a bit of clarification on a few things I gave up. Took their quote to Howdens, got it price matched and had a full kitchen delivered in days and the ability to make swaps or add-ons if necessary.

I just called them and spoke to someone about any queries I had

    This includes their designer.

Bypass the online tickets completely. That's the route they want you to take!

Bought several kitchens from them over the last few years. Always been a happy customer and my installer loves them when compared to Howdens etc. They come fully assembled which saves loads of time during an install.

Just don't forget all the filler panels/trim etc.

I fancy trying them, but worried I may miss a bit off my order, and since they have a minimum order price, I wont be able to buy a small bit here or there.

We bought our kitchen from DIY Kitchens earlier this year, the only issue we had was at delivery we had to help the driver unload the cabinets from the van but I suspect our fitter knew about this and tried to cut some costs.

The kitchen itself is great though, fitter was really happy with it and we've had no issues since it was fitted back in January.

We had an order back in April. We had a few damaged units and missing items but it was rectified in about a week. Quality is good but just allow a gap between delivery and fitting.

We used them last year for our kitchen. The quality is superb!

Everything turned up as it should, when it should.

The only mistake was ours, ordering one cupboard the wrong size. They wanted a huge amount of money to deliver ONE cupboard (apparently it had to come on their delivery lorry), so after a phone call they agreed to send it flat packed instead.

One year on it still looks fab. I would definitely recommend them.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I installed my DIY-Kitchen 10 years ago this week. Still as good as new but I have Second Nature painted solid wood doors which DIY-Kitchen no longer do although you can get them elsewhere.

I have just this week finished fitting ours. We went for Norton Dakar with prime oak worktops from Worktop express.

I've got to say I am really impressed with the quality of the kitchen. The lead time was 12 weeks which felt like a life time. When delivered we was informed by the driver that we was missing one tall end panel which arrived the following week. There was no other surprises and nothing was damaged.

To be honest I was really worried as the weeks ticked by waiting, reading more and more negative reviews about delays and missing items however I would use them again. The prices are really good and like I said the quality of ours is excellent.
