Hi, I'm new here so please excuse my ignorance if this question has been answered hundreds of times before.........
I used company called Fast track to investigate if I had paid PPI with several banks and CC companies. I've been advised by them that I have paid PPI (unknown to me) to Santander. Once they had established that I had paid PPI they asked me to complete a questionnaire in order to progress the claim, which I did.
They are now asking me to sign a letter of authority so they can act on my behalf, presumably for a fee, and I am reluctant to do this if I don't need to?
Do I need to sign the letter or will my claim with Santander progress and be settled without the Fast Track involvement?
Please help!
Thanks,

If they have already started the process with Santander, then they can quite rightly expect to receive a fee for progressing this if you decide to. Santander will have a record that you have used this CMC and will copy them in on any future correspondence, so your only option really is to continue with this route and hand over 24% of anything that you receive to the CMCI work in Data Protection and spend my days dealing with CMC's. Only here trying to help!!0

(Although some of the CMCs were offering a "free" PPI Check in the latter days of PPI)The_squirrell wrote: »Santander will have a record that you have used this CMC and will copy them in on any future correspondence0 -
But when I applied via them it was free and no obligation to use them.
So I guess I've answered my own question?0 -
Fast track did indeed offer a free PPI check however if you wish for them to not take this any further I strongly suggest you get in writing from them that you do not owe anything for their services provided so far....0
