Watch is the cheapest way to get BT Sports app & without some long contract etc. I have BT broadband already I called them up already and was told it would be £10 a month for 24 months contract which would also extend my BT broadband contract, said I didn't really want to extend my contract. Could I get a mobile sim with BT sports or something like that? thanks

Have a look at EE. They offer the BT Sports app for 3 months free and then £5 per month for the rest of the contract.

You obviously need to compare prices, check on their signal and possible cashback before entering into a contract but you most probably know that anyway.
