  • Good morning - Happy hump day!

I had a busy day yesterday. After work I had the physio which consists of exercises, acupuncture, cupping and massage to the tune of £47.50. Quickly visited the gym afterwards then headed home for dinner, football and the bake off.
    Total Spends - £47.50

No gym this morning. Again, I was more tired than usual so I'll go after work instead. I'll need to stay later in work to call my clients in America but aside from that, nothing on the cards.

Tru - Good news on Scamp. That'll be a relief. I hope you feel a bit better soon.
Gers - Whilst it's unfortunate you've a problem, it's good to know you've got to the bottom of it and it'll be rectified.

    Morning everyone
I don't start work till later today so I've been having a catch-up with my breakfast. I had to put my heating on for the first time this morning....my house felt so cold when I woke up! I'll programme the timer this morning.Last night I went to a screening of Margaret Attwood at the National Theatre...it was really interesting, I enjoyed it. Well, I'd better move and do some jobs, otherwise I'll waste the whole morning! Going down to DDs after work later for tea and baby cuddles.
Hope everyone has a good day
  • The weather was horrendous yesterday, we still went out. Good visit to James Herroits house in Thirsk, looked like the world and his wife were there as well. We set off for Bedale, OH decided the sat nav was wrong and started directing me from a 2 year old road map!! Afraid I got annoyed, turned round and came back to the B & B

He is the pits now he is no longer driving........... He did apologise after I told him I was taking him on a bus trip next year, cannot do with the hassle whilst I am driving!

To day we are off to Fountains Abbey, will come back here and go off to Masham for a fish and chip supper before it gets dark. Bright sunn but brrrrrcold, makes a chance from rain!!

Morning all from a sunny bright NW,but blooming eck it's nippy :).I turned the downstairs radiators on yesterday,it's always cold down here, not as bad upstairs as the heated towel rail is always on.I put a blanket over my legs too watching tv last night :D DH is talking about putting a radiator in the downstairs loo and another at the far end of the kitchen next to the table, no argument from me! I always thought it should have been done before we moved in. He's tiling the downstairs loo too so makes sense to do it now.Might be sorted for Xmas :D , I think builders own homes tend to be last on the list!
Tru, Ly1a is quite prone to fatty lumps as the vet calls them, they just tend to check on them at her 12 month annual check up. Mind you, one did suddenly grow and then popped,it was quite messy:eek:
I've got some stewing steak out to make a stew for tea, warming grub needed today !
Csarina hope you enjoy the rest of your trip, re driving - my cousin loves the coach holidays and been on quite a few to different parts of the country now.
Right I need to hoover the bedroom, I took the stuffing out of some pillows and sewed them back up,little pieces of foam, some escaped,DH thought Ly1a had been ripping up one of her toys :rotfl:
    Enjoy the sunny day x

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hello all :hello:
I'm back from my hols and up to my eyes in stuff as usual. I haven't had chance to read back but will try later and then post tomorrow.
The washing is mostly done except for 2 loads which are out on the whirly. The van stuff is everywhere it shouldn't be , but it will be cleaned and put back in it's proper place. There are still some things in the van ready for collection ( cushions, carpets and curtains ) but they can wait for next week when hopefully the van will be cleaned inside and out and put away for ready next years adventures :j
Take care all, missed you :(.

Just back from my drive around Glasgow's west end! Almost every road I was on had temporary traffic lights, roadworks and queues. After I left the first shop I sat in a jam for 20 minutes before I turned round and drove the alternative route back.

During my dental visit I decided to have my last remaining crown replaced. Again, it has developed the dark edges, not bad for almost 30 years of wear, so it stands out now that the other two have been done. In for a penny...in for a pound and all that. First appointment is on Monday as I don't want to wait until after my op.

During my shopping trip in Waitrose the fire alarm went off. Cue everyone streaming outside, then it turned out to be a false alarm. Cue cold coffee though the assistant refreshed everyones drinks.

DM fed and watered. I'm waiting for a delivery so can't really relax yet.

Good afternoon chums busy day today, did a quick shop first thing, not a lot to get only fruit and veg and a few bit ,put the washing machine on before I went so it was almost done by the time I cam home so the washing went on the line for a nice blow ,sunny and a gentle breeze here in Kent Then I had to phone the stairlift people as my batteries had given up the ghost this morning ,luckily I was downstairs as they conked out. They are very good though, and said the man would be out to replace them late afternoon and he's just gone .

I made a couple of lasagnes one for dinner tonight, as my eldest is coming for dinner plus a couple of trifles She will take one of each home with her when she goes as my son-in-law who is away on business will be home tomorrow so its a treat for him.
I am just putting my feet up after my busy day and the coffee pot is filled and ready for when DD gets here She had the dentist this morning as one of her teeth had cracked, so she will need a bit of tlc and 'there, there's' :) she maybe almost 52 (how did that happen :)) but a bit of 'Mum fussing' never goes amiss.

Happy Birthday to those who are celebrating and <<hugs >> for those who are down and sad.

Gers sounds like you will be a different lady once your hip is done ,your consultant seems to be a great guy and next month for a hip replacement is amazing, it's a minimum of 3-4 month in Kent
Gintot I hope your sultana and cherry cake turned out OK I just read yesterday's post and have a yen for one of those myself so tomorrow morning will be a baking morning I think.

Still as yet not had to turn the heating on and I shall hang it out for as long as I can as once it goes on its psychologically winter :) I shall just put a thicker cardi on .

My friend and her OH are in Yorkshire this week at Harrogate on a coaching break. I don't think they have been too lucky with the weather though

Heard from DGS Henry, he went to the freshers ball at Uni and had a great time ,he seems to have fitted in very well from the photo's I have seen of him :) I feel sure his work experience during the summer has made him grow up a bit and he seems a lot more confident than he was 6 months ago.

Right, time I sorted out the garlic bread to go with the pasta, and made a small salad as well
Have a good evening chums and keep warm and dry if possible

    Cheers chums

    Hello all,

Lovely day here, bit chilly this morning but worth it for what followed.

Had to have a tooth chip removed yesterday, not sure where it came from but took a bit of of time to extract it ........gone now and hopefully no more bits to work themselves to the surface.

Had a very nice facial this afternoon.......almost two hours of pampering, lovely!

Gers......so glad that you are having your hip replaced so quickly........it's almost five years since I had my left one done and it has been wonderful. My right hip is now acting up but it will be quite a while before I have it replaced as current consultant is not in favour of replacements until all other avenues have been tried......no idea why, will question him at December appointment.

Ruby.....glad to hear that you had a great holiday.

JackieO......your grandchildren are really growing up.

    Warm hugs to all

    Marie
