UKCPS misallocation of payment

Hello, I'm new here and I've read the newbie rules but I can't find advice for my friend's situation.

She parks her car at her address, which has a car park under UKCPS's control. She has a permit, she parked in the right spot, but the permit had fallen out of view. She got a parking charge notice, and appealed it - surprise, it was rejected. She's a bit naive/too honest, and she paid the charge and life went on. A couple of weeks later, she got a letter saying that because she hadn't paid, the charge was more. She phoned and tried to explain, but found out that apparently there was another charge, the payment she made had been allocated to that. But she never received any letters/ticket on the windscreen about this other ticket. After a couple of weeks, she got another letter with a bigger charge, and then a letter from a debt company with a bigger charge.

She paid the charge online, used the ref in the ticket stuck to the windscreen. She's adamant she never received anything about the other ticket - she's written to them saying this, but no reply yet.

She's panicking to be honest, getting really stressed out about it - does she have any options/is there anything anyone can suggest??

she should not have paid them at all, unless they took her to court and a judge says that there is a sum to pay

the rule is simple, as explained in the NEWBIES thread

    appeal once to UKCPS

then ignore all debt letters for 6 years pending a court claim

only pay what a judge deems should be paid, if at all, until then , no money is owed , because it is only owed if a judge says so, in court

Ignore them and tell her to stop ringing them and throwing money at them.

They rarely try a court claim, and are beatable anyway. Come back if it happens.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
