Hi, I have never had an online betting account but 4 searches for betting companies have shown on my credit file. Do you have any advice what to do? Should I actually be worried or not bother about it?
The companies are showing as : GVC Services Ltd (Gala, Coral and ladbrokes) and 1 search from Petfre (Betfred)
Thanks for your help

I have actually had an account opened up with my name and address with betfred and am currently working my way through the other companies.0

Sounds like identity fraud if you weren't aware of the account, not clear from your post.

thanks for replying - They seem to be ok so far. The accounts have been set up with my details but no money taken from any of my cards / accounts. I don;t know how the betting accounts work and if they need card details to be set up.0

Fraudsters may have used your identity to create the accounts to take advantage of the bonuses offered.0

As the fraudsters will almost certainly have to deposit any money using a card in the correct name and winnings will always be paid back to the card used for the deposit, I wonder how the fraudsters intend to actually collect their winnings.0
