I came across this on another site and thought I would share as it might just help someone.

Absolutely wonderful guidance and something very close to what I have just typed in a complaint to capita regarding a consultation report I received last Friday which actually dismissed all the above, I will be adding it to my complaint. Thank you0

I think this revised guidance has been prompted by an Upper Tribunal decision https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5d1b37a8e5274a08e337b250/CE_3496_2017_.pdf
For example paragraphs 45 and 46
"There is therefore a real risk that drawing inferences about function from treatment will in some cases lead the Tribunal to conclude that claimants do not suffer from the loss of function they describe because they are not being correctly treated for it.
That is clearly not a permissible conclusion."Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
That decision is helpful for those of us with practically untreatable conditions - once we've exhausted the limited NHS possibilities, we're left to live with it with whatever limited levels of functioning we have. The decision could be seen as a lifeline, a validation of the severity of our conditions despite there being nothing more medicine can currently do
