Fleece blankets?

Has anyone purchased fleece blankets that you have considered to be good quality and nice and warm, and can you tell me where you purchased them please,a link would be great.
My mother is bedbound and I would like to get her a couple of new ones for the day,she has a duvet for night, but she likes a fleece as they are warm, comfortable and dry quickly

Asda & IKEA both also do them - they come in a range of sizes & patterns, are a doddle to wash & dry - the one little snag is they are flammable.

I doubt a bed bound lady is going to be near an open fire, but if the blanket droops or falls beside an electric bar radiator or there is the risk of an electric spark etc, they are much much less safe than pure wool.

If you are both aware of the hazards, enjoy yourselves, but if in any doubt, solid wool (while heavier, more expensive & harder to wash & dry) is much safer and may well last for generations.

Unless you are near a Trago Mills, where I last bought fleece blankets, try Mountain Warehouse. I only have one from there but it was slightly larger than others I have had (we camp a lot so we have a fair few fleece blankets!!!). I certainly agree that they are great for elderly / bedbound people.

If you shop in Mountain Warehouse and are a member of the Camping & Caravanning Club, work for the NHS, are involved in Scouting or a host of other organisations you get a discount. I can't find a list of which organisations are on their "list" but take all your membership cards with you and give it a go.

Unfortunately I have to have a Costo membership for online purchases after reading you didn't have to,things must have changed over the years,I wouldn't use the shop again so it would be a waste for me.
I had a look at Sainsburys and only found a thin one,I'm sure some other shops will have them over the next few weeks
