I had a letter from SSE that my pre-payment is GOING UP from 1/10/19 so confused. (up by 17.84 a year)

Good news, we’re lowering the daily standing charge for your electricity by 3.858p per day. That’s £14.09 a year for each of your electricity meters.
This new price will come into effect the first time you top up after 1 October.
We’ll be £172 cheaper than the new price cap
We’ll still be much cheaper than the price cap, even after Ofgem lowers it in October. An average home in your region will pay £1,044 a year with Bulb, £172 less than the £1217 price cap.0
