change of mind return

Does my buyer have to open a case to return as change of mind? I have a business acct and have returns set to buyer pays postage. They have asked for my address to return it, but I'm sure they are supposed to open a case. (been a bit of a nightmare sale, first claimed not received, then asked me to send return label through post as not got a printer, now asking for my address to return it as change of mind accepting she will have to pay postage)
I've never dealt with a change of mind before, had a quick look at Ebays help pages but not much help really.
I'm not sure if she's a scammer or just a bit 'odd', has left quite a few neutrals and negs on feedback, some of the comments are a bit strange

they have to open a case and they have to return via a tracking method at their own expense. once the tracked parcel arrives back with you and you have inspected it you refund within 2 days (ebay will remind you)You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

It can be done without a case being open, but it is easier for both parties to do it via a case for 'change of mind'/ However, there is always the risk a dim buyer might accidentally choose a SNAD option instead of a change of mind that could cause a lot of un necessary work getting it changed.
If you trust your buyer to understand how to open a change of mind return push them towards that, if not, cover yourself by clearly emailing via ebay messages stating you will accept the return if it is received by xx date (usually a month) and supply them with your address.Remind them that tracking and insurance is to cover them as a buyer. On return just cancel sale due to reason that buyer requested . you will of course lose the 30p paypal fee.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you for clearing few points up for me. Not sure I trust her as she's already claimed she didn't receive it, when I provided all the tracking and a signature (!) she back tracked and now says doesn't want it. She's not a new Ebayer and feedback suggests quite a few problems. I'm going to ask her to open the case as I think its safer to go through eBay's system and fingers crossed she'll open the correct one!0

Not only would I ask her to go through ebay, I'd try to arrange for her tracked return to be to a locker or serviced office.
Some people can appear a bit odd online & I'd rather not give them the opportunity to be a sight more odd in person.0 -

Why send it to a third party? Buyer will have the address already as OP has stated they are a business, and trying to swap addresses after a return request is going to look scammy to ebay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
