  • Good morning everyone,

Dull, grey, wet and windy. But I don't actually mind it too much. It reminds me of this time last year when I first moved here. A big adventure with an exciting future. Plus, it reminds me that the joys of Xmas is fast approaching.

Typical Monday evening for me yesterday as expected, which included a strenuous yoga session and I managed to read a few pages of my book too.

Alarm went off at 5am, made a coffee, got my gym clothes on and opted to enjoy my coffee from the comfort of my bed. Big mistake. So no gym this morning haha. Physio after work then boxing after.

    Oh, and happy October everyone!

Tru - I was wondering where you were Glad to hear you're doing ok and fingers crossed the tests come back all clear. And good luck with Scamp today.
TA - Forgive me if you've already told us, or if it's a private issue, but can I ask what the diagnosis was? And if you know, are there any home remedies to help in the meantime?

    Morning all im back !!

We got back very late Sun eve Monday Morn, so I was shattered yesterday I spent most of the day unpacking and doing huge amounts of washing, I lay on the sofa in the afternoon and dozed off for an hour so must have needed it, tbh I still feel tired now.

As we flew with Thomas cook it was a bit hit and miss getting back (another few days would have been nice !) but we flew back with some random airline which was all a bit last minute we were on the flight for 5.5 hours, the flight should have been 3.5 but we had to stop and re-fuel, so a very long flight and we got given one cuppa and a biscuit and nothing else as they did not have anything else ! so an uncomfortable flight but thank goodness we got home.

The holiday itself was just marvelous, we went all inclusive and the food was very good and so much choice, the place reminded me a bit of the tv series Benidorm, it was very much an older peoples place, all they did was eat drink and sit by the pool all day every day, we went out every single day quad biking, mountain climbing, walking, snorkeling, swimming and boat trips, we went out for a few evenings too and people were amazed that we went out alone !! OH and I also got locked in a monastery for a while which was equally scary and funny, OH said that he thought he could scale the 12ft wall and see of he could open the gate from the outside and I may have sworn at him at that point saying he was not leaving me in a ******* monastery alone with two caretakers who lived there all year !! with no women in sight !!( the monks were away studying)

It was a great holiday with temps around about 27 deg most days and we are already looking to go back next year.

Hope everyone is ok will go and try to have a read back, today is more washing and drying in the TD as its raining again.

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all,
I had a nice time with my friend yesterday lunch time. We went to a place I often go to when I meet up with my cousins but she had never been.Had a good old natter & catch up.She's looking well, which is a relief as this time last year she was still finishing up with her cancer treatment.
I've had a really sore hip/leg for the last few days so last night I took ibuprofen and rubbed gel in.I put an extra pillow behind me so I could get out of bed betterand it does feel much easier and I slept better than I usually do :T I took the dogwalking very slowly :D Water levels on the flooded park have dropped a bit so there was a bigger area to walk on but quite a few Canada geese seem to have taken up residence on the deeper bit :rotfl:
I think I'll dig something out of the freezer for tea, there are burgers in the fridge but I dont fancy them today :D
My mum always used to say White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits on the 1st of a new month. Hope the poorly people are doing better soon, have a good day x
PS just seen your post RRuby, welcome back.Sounds like you had a very eventful & busy holiday- glad you had a great time, shame about the flight though x

Gintot, good news on your DGS.

DP1, I hope the seizure was just a blip, what a worry.

I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday, if not the flight.

Laura had her 36 week scan today and surprisingly it was a 3d one. We're hoping that it's the scan that makes the poor bean look so odd, he looks as if he's led a hard life. Everything looks good and they think he's about 7lb already so he'll be a decent weight.

Steve worked really hard yesterday and got the living room painted so we're feeling a bit less frantic about things.

Good afternoon all, weather like a new-born baby ...wet'n'windy :) .Dogs really didn't appreciate their walk as it was a very short one, just for necessity more than anything, but both the dogs and I were happy to be back at home again :) DGS has just got in looking rather damp and windswept .Autumn is really here now and winter won't be far away
This year seems to have galloped by, but then I swear it goes faster the older you get.
I saw DGD Katie on Saturday afternoon and she is blooming, and almost 6 months now so finding her toddler daughter Erin a bit more difficult to pick up.But the little one seems excited and keeps pointing to her Mummy's tummy saying baby sister baby sister all the time :)

DGS Henry texted me to say he was all unpacked and going to a 'meet your mates' at Uni today so hopefully he will soon find like minded lads or lasses to pal up with

Right time to have a cuppa to warm up Hope everyone is warm and dry and safe as the weather looks pretty horrible around the country

    Take care all

Afternoon all. DD and dgs are home from hospital. We collected them from the station just after midday. DD was exhausted. Dgs is happy because he can resume trampolining lessons and is there atm. No swimming though for at least another month .

We went grocery shopping after we had dropped them off them went back to theirs woth bread, milk, coffee and bananas.

After a sit down I made a sultana and cherry cake for DH as the tin is empty. I was going to make a chicken pie for tea but cheated and bought one instead. Lol

Well have a good evening folks. Hugs and spoons all round.
