Hi,
Can anyone confirm the following please:-
Can ATOL still refund payments made to TC by Direct Debit if the Direct Debit has been cancelled?
ALSO
If the holiday deposit was paid by debit card but further payments made by Direct Debit, I'm assuming that the DD part will be automatically refunded by ATOL but a seperate claim will then have to be made to ATOL for the deposit. Is this correct?
Thanks.

have a read under ATOL claims here

CAA has said they will pay claims for holidays booked by direct debit within 14 days of next Monday when they will have the forms online for you to claim. I suspect you will be able to make a single claim for the lot.0

No, they have said if you paid ANY element by debit card, which in most case is probably the initial deposit, this would have to be claimed via the ATOL procedure next week. Can only assume the DD data is much more complete than card payment data.
As for the first question...yes of course they can. Nobody needs an active Direct Debit to pay money BACK into an account, you provided your bank details to set it up in the first place. Anyone can pay money into your account if they know these details.0 -
