Virgin Media - Had enough

In April I switched to Virgin for my phone and broadband. This was supposed to be £27 a month. Every month they have billed far more than that, for the first two months I called and they said that a discount hadn't been applied. I was assured that this would be sorted. They also noted my phone calls were £11-14 a month (my partner doesn't get mobile signal at home so uses the landline at home), and they offered a fixed £10 a month for all calls, which I agreed to add. Since then they have been billing me £50 a month. I have filed 2 formal complaints but it's still happening.
So, I have a few questions...
Any advice would be appreciated.
So, I have a few questions...
- Are Virgin in breach of contract? Am I able to switch provider without paying exit penalties?
- I want to cancel the direct debit to prevent them taking £50 this month, and make a payment by card for what it should be. Is this a good idea?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about point 1 but point 2 is a terrible idea. I'm hoping that all of your complaints are in writing (email or post)?0 -
Just spent 40 mins on the phone to them. They claim (again) that it's been sorted.0
