Child Turning 18/Tenancy Agreement

Morning everyone, just wanted to clarify - my son turns 18 next year but has learning disabilities so isn't considered competent to sign legal documents/manage money etc, so I am checking out various things now to try and avoid problems next year.
I've been looking online about tenancy agreements; the consensus seems to be that him turning 18 won't usually mean him having to go on our current tenancy agreement - would others on here be in agreement with that? I can't find anything relating to it in our Tenancy Agreement so I'm assuming the Landlord would have added something in if it were an issue.
Thanks in advance

It is not a problem other adults over 18 can live in a tenanted property without being on the agreement. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0

Yes your child is a dependent on you because of their disability. He can’t be liable for the rent imo.0

Great, thank you both, one more thing I can cross off the list now, thank you for the confirmation

There's no legal requirement for anyone to be named on an agreement. The tenant (you) can have anyone live there with them, it's up to you.0
