Sainsbury’s car park fine - help!

Hi all, I’m struggling to make sense of all the info on the newbies thread and also a bit worried that some of the posts may now be out of date? I had a fine a few years ago that I just ignored but now I understand you can’t do that anymore.
In short the driver forgot to validate their car park slip - was in supermarket for about 39 mins then left. The receipt is here to prove the driver was indeed just shopping at the time - just forgot to validate the ticket. Horizon has issued a pcn via post within a week. Went into Sainsbury’s today to complain but duty manager said they’ve stopped intervening and that we need to contact horizon.
Can anyone please point me to the specific template which deals with this? Please also tell me not to worry 😭

The newbies thread is up to date
Use the blue text template , no changes , appealing as keeper to horizon
No blabbing about who was driving
And email the CEO of Sainsbury's with your complaint , as keeper , no saying who was driving , use the royal WE if you wish to , add a copy of the receipt and loyalty scheme etc , plus redacted bank statement showing proof of previous visits etc
State that the local manager at , name the store location , refused to sort it out and it's very poor customer service. Remind them that other supermarkets are available and you want the PCN cancelled immediately
Try ceoemail for his details0 -
Go straight to the CEO
Mr Mike Coupe Chief Executive
Email mike.coupe@sainsburys.co.uk
Prove you are a valued customer and request he cancels the ticket
Worth saying that the store manager has said that he no longer intervenes which rather shows Sainsbury's have a lot of upset customers.
Also point out that this Manager is now pointing you to shop elsewhere like Lidl and Aldi
Right now with Sainsbury's closing over 100 mini stores and Argos stores, things are not good for them and they cannot afford to lose customers due to their parking scammers0 -
Do not worry, imo it is mostly unlikely that, were this to get to court, a judge would find for the scammer here, especially if they were to try to add on unlawful charges.

Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking CompaniesYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thank you to all of you for you help, advice and reassurance. I will follow it all and will keep you updated. As with most others in this situation, I really don’t need this right now So glad this forum is here!:money: Saving money, saving the environment and saving space (aka decluttering) - my motto this year!0

So, I emailed supermarket CEO yesterday morning and I have heard nothing back. Should I now sent letter template to Horizon? Getting worried that the 14 days of the lower fine will be running out soon...
What if I don’t hear from the ceo?:money: Saving money, saving the environment and saving space (aka decluttering) - my motto this year!0 -
As advised above send the template.0
