Tempur or pocket spring mattress

I was considering a new mattress, then saw that John Lewis have a sale on and Tempur mattresses (and other makes) are 20% off. I’ve narrowed the choice down to a Tempur Original, or a medium pocket sprung mattress from Hypnos or Millbrook.
The Tempur is amazing but I am concerned about excess heat. I currently have a cheap foam mattress and that is far too hot in summer. Anyone here have a Temper, and find it too hot, or have thoughts on Tempur versus pocket sprung? The fact that the pocket sprung ones are made in England appeals.
Incidentally it is annoying how many makers create special models for John Lewis etc so you can’t directly compare prices. Hi ho.

We had a Tempur Original That did not last very long at all. About three years, and the guarantee proved worthless. It's very expensive, so not at all worth the money. On the guarantee, Tempur apparently regard sagging soft spots as normal wear and tear. Anyway, I woke up every morning with a bad back.
We bought an Emma Original-- Best Buy at Which?. It was a third of the price, just as comfortable as Tempur was before it sagged, and is lasting well.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
A few year ago I bought two expensive mattresses a Tempur memory foam one and a pocket sprung.
They are both very comfortable and I alternate between them.
On balance I prefer the pocket sprung. With the Tempur one you sink into the mattress as it molds to your shape, whilst this feels comfortable it is difficult to turn over as you are effectively lying in a hollow and, as said, it can be too warm in the summer since much more of the mattress is in contact with your body.0 -
Anyone here have a Temper
Quite a lot of people judging by the replies on some threads!0 -
