    Morning all,
TA, sending you many hugs.It must be very hard today so hope your trip out proves a distraction x
Molly41 & Purpleivy, nice to see you back on the daily.
I'm off out for lunch with my oldest friend, not sure where we are going until she gets here.On Friday I met up with an old neighbour.I hadnt seen her for a couple of years so we had a right good natter :D
Thankfully it's stopped raining for a bit.Yesterday got worse and worse, the park up our road is under a foot of water in places and started to overflow down the road. The grids at the top were all blocked with leaves so it did start to come and pool at the front of us, so at the first signs we went and swept to clear the leaves , and to give them their due the council and United Utilities were out early. They had a big tanker to pump water out and also lifted the grids to let it flow into the drains better. At least we know they're on the ball now.
When I took Ly1a out she enjoyed her paddle, but quite a lot of high school kids cross the park to get to school and they had to go a long way round. Two of them were on the other side of the water eyeing it up so I shouted to them that they couldnt get through it was too deep. They started to go to the other end but one got fed up half way along and went through anyway :rotfl:He must have been soaked up to his knees
The lamb was lovely yesterday, plenty left too :T, although I bought some reduced steaks that need using up today.I think I need to do a loaf as well , before I go out.
Hope everyone has a good day & Gintot hope DGS eye op is a success x

  • Just popping back to say dgs's operation was a success. I am so relieved and happy for him. They are staying at the hospital tonight and coming home tomorrow via the transport museum.

Hi everyone just been reading back and catching up. I've been busy in DDs garden over the weekend....I cleared an area of weeds and put grass seed down....fingers crossed it grows! I was meant to have little grand daughter to stay last night but she had a trip to hospital instead.... she pulled her feeding tube out again.
She gave us all a scare last week as she had a seizure one morning. DD called an ambulance and they checked her over but didn't need to take her in. It was what is called an absence seizure, they said it might never happen again or could be the start of something. Poor DD was stressed enough already....
