Cooker clock not setting/turning on

I turned the cooker off at the wall this weekend because we went away for the weekend, I've just turned it back on and 0's were flashing along the little screen and now it's stuck on 0 and the clock won't set so I'm guessing that's why the cooker isn't working.
The hob works but not the cooker.
Is it broke? Or is it simple to fix? This cooker had just been put in just before we moved in in January.

  • Have you got the instructions? If not, get them online. There will be a faultfinding guide or similar to go through. In ovens I've owned you have to switch it to manual before it will respond.

Of no help but why on earth turn the cooker off? Resetting the clock is always a pain. I'd start by switching it off completely, getting the manual out (or downloading it) and try again.
Certainly with our oven (AEG) it won't work if you don't set the clock.

I turned off all sockets when leaving just to be safe. I've looked at the manual and it does say to put it into manual mode but I've tried that and it doesn't seem to be working. Also followed the instructions to change the time on the clock and it doesn't change 🤷🏻!♀️ I'm stumped. It's still under warranty so i'll have to ring for advice. Thank you anyway though

Have you tried turning it off again, leaving for 30 seconds or so and then turning on again?

That might reset it if it has locked up through some glitch.

This is beyond me. There is no need to do it. You don't turn all the sockets off when go to work, do you?

We turn the hob off at the wall every time we've finished with it. Unfortunately things tend to get put on top of the hob and it's very easy to knock the knobs on. It means the clock is always unset but we've never used it anyway.
  • The clock needs to be reset. It doesn't even need resetting to the correct time, but it needs to be reset.

Read the instructions again . . . carefully.
