Browser slow loading

I have noticed over the past few weeks my web browser is slow at loading on a web sites and sometimes freeze's
I am using Chrome and have scanned for viruses etc
Edge is running faster.when just tested.
I have run cleaner and cleared old system files and internet history.
Ideas and advice please
