Middle Aged Stag Do

I've been tasked to organise a "stag do" for my best mate.

It'll be for about 8-10 people with an age range of 35-60. Not interested in clubbing, strippers or the other typical stag do cliches.

So....anyone got a venue suggestions, say within 2.5 hrs on a plane? Open to ideas...willing to try somewhere different.

Belfast wouldn’t be a bad choice. Plenty of lively pubs and a fair amount of history to boot. On the downside the city isn’t exactly overrun with hotels.

That is a possibility wherever we may end up.

Bit pricey though, and I'm not keen on it.

I was thinking eastern europe to drive down the cost of food and drink?

Krakow or Bucharest both very cheap. Lots of restaurants, bars and history
  • Easy answer...Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Wonderful city, lots to do, friendly people, English widely spoken, good value.
  • Why abroad?

I bet there are loads of activities you can all do much closer to home that won’t cost so much money and more importantly valuable holiday time!

Please don’t encourage British stags to go to Slovenia! They don’t hate us yet.
