Which TV is better please?

Options
I have two TV's in mind but can't decide which one is better? Can you advise me please? The model's I'm looking at are:

SONY BRAVIA KD43XG8096BU (£549.00)
LG 43UM7600PLB (£399.00)

Both are 43" my current TV (Toshiba) is a 32". The only reason I'm upgrading is that I would like to connect to WIFI to watch BBCi Player, UKTV Play etc. I have looked at both sets, and have been told that the Sony has a habit of dropping conection at variouse times.

Which has the better sound and colour?

Both have sports, vivid, cinema, etc. I did find the Sony remote more user friendly then the LG, but can't make up my mind which is the better set.

Many thanks and hope you can help?

No comment on the TVs, but if that's your only reason then a Chromecast would achieve that for ~£20 providing you have an HDMI socket (and a smartphone), or not much more for something like a Roku or Fire stick
  • well the LG is a 2019 model

If your current tv is adequate apart from wanting smart functions you can buy a Roku etc. (if have good wifi)

Smart tv apps can be unreliable and may need to reset tv regularly. Also down the line the smart function may not be supported by the tv maker.

Why spend £350+ when there is cheap solution.

Nowtv boxes are often given away as well as those already mentioned (roku chrome cast)

Get over to AVforums and do some research to work out what you need for your use cases.
    Pricespy for price profiles.

It's getting a bit late for the 2018 sell off sets as best prices tend to kick in around June.

Also you should be looking to buy from richer sounds or John lewes or other places that include at least a 5y warranty.
