Please can anyone give advice on this.
Since purchasing our new smart TV, we can't watch anything on Amazon Prime:(
It opens when we click the app and shows all of the things that are available, but they simply won't play.
All other apps like Netflix, All 4, etc are fine, it is just Amazon Prime.
On our old TV we used an Amazon Fire Stick and that always worked, so what has happened?
New TV is a Sony Bravia KDL43WF663 LED HDR Full HD 1080p Smart TV, 43"
Please can anyone help? Do I have to buy another Fire Stick?
Thanks.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
I am presuming that you've signed in to the app by the way.0 -

I haven't noticed anything that asks us to sign in. Where would I find that?
Everything is there, but nothing will open.
I can't understand why it is so different with the new TV, no problems at all using the Fire Stick.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Look in the settings at the top of the Prime Home screen, tv does know who you are ergo neither does the amazon app4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0

You will have to login to watch, they don't just let anyone watch prime y know0

I just logged into my Prime account and the TV is listed under the devices as registered, but I have never registered it with Amazon - so very strange.
Tried watching something whilst logged in to Amazon and it worked, but presumably it won't when I log out of my account.
I have never had a code to enter or anything like that. Had to sign in on all of the other apps because they actually asked, but not Amazon so I don't know exactly where I am supposed to do it.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

Sounds as though the Amazon App on your TV has corrupted.
If you go to the app and, using the remote double click on it it will bring up a side menu.
Select update and let it run.
If that does not work then select the menu on the app and select delete. Then go to the app store and download the Amazon app again.
Open the app and it should ask you to log in. If it does then problem solved, otherwise you will need to contact your TV companies customer service (technical support) to find out how to resolve a corrupt app.
Hope that helps.0 -
When I logged out of Amazon last night it kept working, so hopefully that has resolved it:T
Thank you all for the brilliant advice, greatly appreciated.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0
