ESTA after wedding

I am getting married this December and going on my honeymoon straight after to the USA.

My passport, flights , bank details etc (everything basically) will still be in my maiden name.
On the ESTA application, do I need to declare that I will be known under another name (married name?)

Help!
I don't want to get it wrong and be rejected.

Thanks

Can you not travel and apply for your ESTA in your maiden name?

You apply for the ESTA using the full name, including putting all/any middle names in the first name Box, that appears in your Passport that you will use to travel. US immigration will only check your passport and the ESTA information, they will not be concerned that you have married and are now known as something else.

Remember to use the official US ESTA site.

They cost $14, so if asked to pay anything else you are on the wrong site. When completing take care to check all answers carefully and use the “?” To check what they want to be inserted. You get a final chance to review before submitting, so use it as it is very easy to fill in the wrong information. If that happens it can be a Real pain to get it sorted out amd may result in having to visit the US Embassy for an interview for a full Visa.

It is simple but just take care.

Are you planning on changing your passport before your wedding? Getting married doesn't automatically change your name. So if you want to travel under your maiden name that will be ok. As long as your ESTA and passport details match, that's the main thing. Any new passport needs a new ESTA

If everything 'passport, flights , bank details etc' are in your maiden name you won't be known by 'another name'. That will only be when/if you coose to take your new husbands name, otherwise you will only be known by your maiden name, marriage does not strip you of that.

Therefore you need to apply for the ESTA in the name you will be known by (your maiden name) at the time of travel.
