I have done all my present shopping online via Quidco, saved a fortune on 3 for 2's in Boot's and amassed loads of points as it's a high earning weekend.

I have also got all my stash of Christmas cards out of the loft and I'm not buying any this year (or next possibly LOL). Next job is getting the stash of wrapping paper out next weekend to wrap everything that's been delivered.

Oh and I booked a train ticket to go to a Christmas do in mid december, got a first class return for less than a standard single would cost on the day, so I get to travel in style with free refreshments and I will be able to claim it on expenses from work.

    Yesterday, I:
    - Used my bus pass to get a free ride into the City
    - Took £55 to be banked that I had in my purse (money owed to me for bills etc from my housemates). This is good, as otherwise I may have spent it!
    - Resisted the urge to have lunch in a cafe/restuarant/pub, saving at least £10, as we were cold and wanted to get home as soon as possible to a sandwich!

    Today:
    - Checked my internet banking, and am doing very well considering its the end of the month! And I don't get paid until Friday. By the way, is there a thread where people share what they budgeted at the beginning of the month, and what they actually spent at the end of the month?
    - Had an NSD - spent the day having a spring clean through all my cosmetics.
  • I signed up to work Boxing Day, as we get triple pay :j

Dill, I was told the fan kicked in when the computer was working hard, and needed to cool down a bit. As my fan started going within minutes of turning on even if no programs were running it was put down to the Trojans working hard to look around my computer innards.

Actually it hasn't fully been sorted, but it is SO much quicker, I've obviously removed a fair bit.

The thread I followed was in the stickies at the top of the techies board about getting rid of Mal or Spyware.

    Good Luck.
