Help please

On the beach have cancelled my holiday because my outbound flight was with Thomas cook. Our inbound was with Ryan air. Ryan air say they have a no cancellation policy and that the flights are still ours. We hadn’t finished paying for the holiday but the flights had been paid for. I’m getting a full refund of the amount we have paid so far. Has anyone else ever had this happen and still gone on the flight?

Can on the beach not sort out an alternative outbound flight for you so you do not loose the holiday?

I’ve found alternative flights now but couldn’t tell OTB as they are not answering phones or picking up emails

If you've emailed OTB, remember and keep an electronic copy which clearly proves that you have tried to contact them as soon as possible after the collapse of TC.

Just in case they try to evade.

Have you contacted the hotel? I expect OTB have cancelled it.

A number of online agents have decided they have too many bookings to try and sort out alternative flights for everyone, one of the dangers of booking online. The fact is every penny refund you get is coming out of their own pockets since they will have paid both airlines at the time of booking and almost certainly have to pay at least a cancellation fee for the hotel
