Bond Certificates

I am the executor for my late Aunts will and have come across 2 bond certificates : 1 for the London Borough of Hackney the other for Greenwich corporation , which were issued in the late 70's . I am at a loss to know what do do with them or if they are indeed still worth anything. One is for £2000 the other £3000.
Can anyone offer any advice ?
TIA

I seem to recall seeing a lot of small adverts in newspapers at that time from Local Authorities seeking short term deposits over 1, 2 or 3 years, etc. and offering a fixed rate of interest. I paid little attention to them at the time and can only imagine that they were repaid at the end of the period.
What do the bond certificates actually say?0 -
What information is on these certificates for Hackney & Greenwich Councils?
Perhaps contact their Treasury departments.
May be reading though these might suggest lines of account?
