I am so seriously mad with myself, I’ve been in a bad mood this week because I’m sick of been treated like the bottom rung on my family’s ladder! My 3 sisters have all been invited for Xmas dinner at mum and dads and I haven’t  All the grandkids went up to do pumpkin carving and my daughter was excluded (she did them with DD1 which she enjoyed but it’s the principle )
Anyway, as a result I went out to cheer myself up (and partly to get the youngest out the house while DD2 slept after a night shift) and ended up putting about £150 on the credit card ....I’m so mad at myself I could cry, but I did get the youngest some winter school shoes so not all bad.
I did expect a little extra spend with it being half term...but REALLY!
I’ve had a bit of work on this week so that should cover some of it But I’m going to have to be really careful over the next few weeks.
Surveys are going well, as is collecting change, plus I also managed to get a few food bits for free on the checkoutsmart app and Shopmium.
Daughter went trick or treating with her friend last night and managed to get a few sweeties and chocolate so at least I won’t have to fork out for that.
It’s just dinners for 3 this week as DS has gone on holiday and DD1 is on nights all week so buys her own, hopefully with all this, groceries “should” come in under budget:D
PAD’s this week have meant that cc1 is now down to £52.14 so not long until that’s paid off.
Anyway I’m off to continue crying into a cushion, or look for things to sell!!!!
Enjoy your day,
Suzy xxxWhat’s meant for you will not pass you 😃

Good morning, wow what a busy couple of weeks it’s been!
The sleepover went (LOUD but) well, we managed to get them all a party bag and pizzas for under £50, along with the bargain ice cream, I was expecting a lot more so was pleased. She seemed to enjoy herself so that’s all that matters I suppose, although she was warned that then next sleepover won’t happen until she’s in her own place :rotfl::rotfl:
About 10 days ago the big credit card stopped working in all the machines, it’s probably it’s way of saying “stop spending” so I had to order a new one, this has now arrived but hubby has it and is refusing to activate it for now :rotfl::o I suppose it’s for my own good.
Shopping day was delayed 2 days mainly due to us being affected by the floods, not directly to our home luckily as were in a slight hill but the town was under water and we were unable to get anywhere. We came in under budget at £47 and bagged 4 BIG packs of mince for 90p each, this will do 8 meals so happy with that :j
I’ve had a payday since I last wrote and have been beavering away making a bit of extra money towards Xmas. We have been putting more change away and I shall update all the balances in my next post, although with my PAD’s the small cc is now down to about £25 owing :j
The Gym membership for me and DD2 has been cancelled saving us £40 a month, I shall restart this after Xmas, but we’re not using it to its full potential as we don’t have the time at the moment.
DS has got a new job on more money BUT it means he will be working away mon-fri most weeks, so I will no longer be providing meals or packed lunches for him, he stops at his GF’s on a weekend aswell and seeing as he is the biggest eater it’s going to save me loads! it’s going to be quiet without him here after 20 years, suppose I need to get used to it at some point and I suppose this way I can get used to it gradually! Hope “empty nest syndrome” doesn’t hit that hard :eek:
Both daughters are sleeping out tonight so just me and the other half for dinner, I’ve got some beef I defrosted yesterday to use up so need ideas!
Anyway enough rambling for now, I’m off to check my balances and I shall update later
Enjoy you day, Suzy xxWhat’s meant for you will not pass you 😃

It’s strange because (not in a bad way) but I can wait for them to move out and stand on their own two feet, I would love to see what they make of themselves and I don’t want to hold them back, but at the same time they’re my babies
Did you cope ok Beanielou? Hope it didn’t hit too hardi think it’s the noise that I’ll miss, I don’t like quiet!!!

The noise was one thing I did miss & dident think that I would.
When I saw an old friend of DS’s recently that’s what I was saying to them how I missed the noise at the weekend’s!!
I coped because I had too.

Yes it’s definitely going to be the noise I’ll miss I secretly enjoy the hustle and bustle, I suppose as parents it’s something we have to get used to, as long as they know my door is always openWhat’s meant for you will not pass you 😃

:mad:Argghh....I wrote a post the other day but obviously forgot to press on publish and now it’s gone:mad:
Not much has happened really I’ve just been working mainly
Hubby is still refusing to activate the credit card (I think I mentioned it, it was probably in the deleted post!) only as a result the other cc’s are taking a bit of a hit, I hate this time of year, well I actually love it but not the cost. With my PAD’s I had got cc1 down to £19 owing but I had to put shopping on it this week so that’s now back up to £70 cc3 is down to £300 owing and there’s only £540 now owing on cc3.
I have been beavering away on all the survey sites and am close to £30 and I managed to get some money back through the Shopmium app.
Perhaps the biggest bit of news (and a bit that puts ME to shame) is my eldest 2 have just set up their help to buy IAS’s, :T:T they are only 19 and 20 and are so switched on finance wise. I have always taught them well about finances or more like I’ve shown them how NOT to do it!! I think they secretly think they don’t want to deal with finances how I did in their early lives.
They never really had much growing up due to me being on benefits for a while so I think they are wanting better for themselves in their lives....anyway I’m super proud of them and wished I was as switched on at their age.
I’m off to Granny’s in a mo but will come back later to update all the balances (if I remember!)
Enjoy your day
