Have a lovely day x
Thank you Purplemum just need to keep it up now
Just had a nice treat this morning, daughter number 1 has just come in off a night shift and taken me out for breakfast AND paid
PAD was only £1.30 on cc1 today. (Think I’m gunna concentrate on clearing this one with the PAD’S)
Couple of things bought from the supermarket last night at just over £5 so not done bad with the budget this week :T
Need to have a think this week of how to do a sleepover for 8 girls on a budget  so any ideas are more than welcome. It will be in 2 weeks for daughter number 2’s 13th birthday, but typically it’s 3 days before payday
Other than that nothing much else to report
It Friday so it Granny’s phone calls
Enjoy your day,
Suzy xxWhat’s meant for you will not pass you 😃

Pizza, pop & pick & mix?
Thanks beanielou, I have managed to drop on some Ben and Jerries choc brownie ice cream 750ml for 99p (no I’m not kidding) so I picked 2 up and am going to use them to make milkshakes, (if I had room in the freezer I’d have picked more up  )
DD1 was a beauty student so has LOTS of pamper/nail stuff that she has very kindly offered to use on them, then I think it will just be a board game film and then bed (fingers crossed :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl: )
The only thing she has requested is pancakes for breakfast, I think I can stretch to that
Have a good evening,

Good morning and a blinking cold one it is, I don’t envy DS working outside in this all day, he’s a scaffolder! However he was wise and bought himself some thermals last week so he shouldn’t be too badWhat’s meant for you will not pass you 😃

PAD’s over the weekend amounted to £3.11 onto cc1 so that’s coming down nicely now. :T
Menu plan is written out for this week and it’s shopping day today so I’ve transferred the money out of the grocery account, BUT it’s also half term and I have a little “helper” so this will be a big test to see if I can stay within budget with her with me
Yesterday Hubby reminded me of a bill that needed paying...can I remember what it is this morning....can I heck :rotfl::rotfl: I will have to wait till later and ask him!
Morning organisation routine is still on track so all cleaned, swept and a load of laundry is in, not sure how long it will stay like this when the little whirlwind gets up, she is the messiest kid I have ever known!
Anyway I am off for a coffee and to brace myself for the shopping trip
Wish me luck:rotfl:

Re pots - I have all the money in one account and set out my pots in a spreadsheet. Works fine unless I need/ want something and don't have access to my spreadsheet! I think monzo allows you to set up pots, but that could be wrong!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)0 -
Hey, well done your doing great! as for using pots, Monzo is brilliant, you can set up lots of virtual pots and split your money as per your budget! My debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0

good morning,
Thanks Iwantanewlife and Twiggy, my daughter has Monzo so I shall get her to show me her app to see what I can do on it. I think I would need separate pots rather than just allocating out from 1 account, because I would get confused and I don’t have the patience for spreadsheets:mad:
The shopping trip didn’t go as bad as expected with me only going over budget by £9.88, but that did include 2 pumpkins that I wouldn’t normally buy, plus they will keep DD2 happy (and quiet) for a while so it’s a win win :rotfl:
Work paid out yesterday so PAD’s yesterday were
£15.92 on cc1
£20 on cc2
£19.24 on cc3 and
£52.84 on cc4
Then £3.18 on cc1 this morning, I like seeing these balances coming down :T:j
I’ve managed to put a few mor 20p’s in the tube and I am now upto £4.20, even the eldest 2 are giving me theirs :rotfl: (every little helps)
I think the weekly shopping it turning out great for us, I’m finding that I am stocking up on stuff quite a bit so maybe, if it all turns out good I won’t have to shop one week other than for fresh stuff
Ah well the dreaded work is calling me so
Enjoy your day,
