Molly, I hope you're recovering well.

Purpleivy, nice to see you posting.

We're sitting waiting for the carpet fitter. Apparently the home owner took the dog out for a walk and the fitter told him he'd be finished by 11.30 but he wasn't back so the fitter is just waiting. It looks like he'll be an hour and a half late which is annoying because I wanted to be home before rush hour.

We'll then go on to Laura's because Brian has gone off to a festival somewhere in Europe. Laura isn't best pleased because he went early yesterday morning on their wedding anniversary. We're going to take her to buy plants for the raised bed in the back yard to try to get that sorted as much as possible.

I've just been reading about premium teabags which are made of plastic releasing millions of tiny particles into the water. I'm glad I don't use them, imagine ingesting all those, not to mention the environmental impact. I suppose we're all drinking lots of particles from the tap water though, one argument for spring water I suppose.

Afternoon - lovely to see Molly and PurpleIvy posting again. WB.

ScarletRibbons - I'm jealous of you being in Whitby, hope you really enjoy your trip.

My hair appointment was successful, I feel as if a load has been lifted from me. My hair is thick and grows very fast. The new salon was OK, I'll go back there. The building used to be a bank so the new owner has opened it up and done some great work on it.

The trip into town was also a success despite the rain. Two pairs of shoes and a new cardi. I didn't have shoes suitable for a funeral, they are at my own home, and I chose a black patent leather pair. Haven't worn patent leather since my childhood! The other pair are plain lace-ups with Goretex so I can splash in the puddles. :rotfl:

DM has been fed and I've dosed myself up as walking around was very painful. I really miss walking. Anyway, worse things...etc.
