Hey,


I'm currently looking to take advantage of the Current Account Switching service.


The Bank I am currently with (Bank of Scotland / Halifax) I hold a Help to Buy Isa with.


If I switch my Current account (I'm looking to move to First Direct) what would happen to the Help to Buy ISA I hold?

Nothing. The ISA is not a current account, and a current account with BOS/Halifax is not required to hold it.

The 'current account switching service' is a service which sets up a new current account with a different financial institution and transfers over the direct debits etc so that they run from the new current account and not the old current account. It is nothing to do with savings accounts, mortgage accounts, credit card accounts, investment accounts, etc.
