Twointhebush said:So is there a window of opportunity just after the insolvent company has been bought? Do the share prices stay the same as before the purchase (hopefully low)? I guess for someone like me it would be difficult to get the timing right?
In the same way as there's a window of opportunity you could duck under a bunch of flaming axes being juggled by a street performer, grab them and carry on, yes.

In the case of Interserve and NMC Health Care, I got nothing after they went bust.I have shares in Galliford Try Holdings Plc, that company was bought out, so I now mave shares in two comanies, but only £47 worth in the case of Galliford Try Holdings Plc so hardley worth the transaction fees.
