  • Not exactly.
    The article is from 2016 and stems from a Bank identifying (some) retrospective errors with their calculations. The whole story is and was exaggerated. People also received further refunds due to these errors.

    Thread is from 2012.

    It is, but you yourself actually mention 6 years in the post!. So you are not so sure about this info in 2019 then? ;)

    I have, but I wanted to show you all where I got the 6 year figure from.. it wasn’t just plucked out of thin air. So where did you get that 6-year Info from then at the time ? I’m still interested to know.
  • The three respondents to that thread had already informed their Banks that they had been refunded twice. Unfortunately, none have logged on since to tell us what happened subsequently.

    My own response was rather tongue-in-cheek seven years ago. However, I'm certain the banks concerned took far less than six years to recover their money.
