Virgin media prob

Hi,
Finally after way too long I am going through and trying to sort my finances.
After paying well over £100/month to Virgin Media
I called them to ask for a breakdown of the payment.
To my horror they say I’ve been paying £15/m for international calls that I apparently agreed to in 2016 which was at a nominal charge which increased after the first year!! I have no idea or recollection of this and thought the huge monthly bill was just for the tv,phone and broadband.
Is there any way I can claim back all or part of this cost?? Or is there an ombudsman I can go to?
They kept me waiting for 1.5hrs and then cut me off 😡seriously fed up with VM!!
Any advice appreciated.

Its normal for many prices to rise significantly after the contract 12 month term . You are free to renegotiate this for following 12 months .0

You agreed to the contract, it's your responsibility to check whether you require every part of it or not.0 -
Sadly you are better leaving virgin. You will be lucky to get any money back because they will say you agreed to a contract and could have asked questions at any time if you were uncertain. Plus as you have been paying this amount for several periods without complaining, you accepted their terms.
We have been with them 10 months and in that time not one of our bills has been correct. They failed to undertake the necessary prepwork before they cane and connected us (do we couldn't be setup with a landline) and refused to refund our overpayment until we got the landline that they didn't install and had to chase repeatedly to get an engineer to come and fit.
The engineers who we have dealt with and the guys in the virgin store we signed up in, have been nothing but helpful but the customer service centre would have less ability to run a party than our political elite. I feel sorry for the poor people wjo have to come face to face with customers and don't have a telephone to hide behind.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Over £100 a month? Blimey. I'm about to leave because my broadband and phone is about to go over £40!
I'm afraid the others are correct, you agreed to the contract and have consented to the price rices by not taking action sooner.0 -

Don't take anything they offer you on the call when you phone to cancel. They'll normally call you after a while (few days to 2 weeks) and offer a even better deal.
I'm 28 for mine with highest internet & evening/weekends phone (which I think is the basic one as we never use it with all inclusive on our mobiles)You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
