My local Asda are currently selling the Johnsons at half price - didn't look too closely so not sure if it was the fair or darker skin version
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Works best if you use a body scrub first, followed by your usual moisturiser.
Then apply the Johnson's/Dove lotion. Result - no streaks.:grouphug: A smile, a 'please' and a 'thank you' cost nothing0 -

I hate to go against the huge tide of positive posts, but I've recently tried this and don't see what the fuss is really. I only bought it because I was after aftersun and my supermarket hadn't got any, but they did have Johnson's Holiday Skin for BOGOF so I bought 2 bottles.
It is nice and moisturising, and does make you go brown. But after 3 or 4 days of usage it started to blotch so not very impressed. I would far rather stick to fake tan for tanning purposes - St Tropez doesn't streak, a bottle lasts ages, and you only have to apply every few days (so you don't smell of fake tan constantly!).
And for those that have been asking, I've used the Holiday Skin on my face and it was fine - in fact the one area where it didn't blotch after a few days0 -
Think this johnsons is the worse fake tan i've used
smelt like smokey bacon crisps afterwards and after my boyfriend had applied it he had a orange tinge to his hands for a week afterwards
Going to try the dove and boots range next0 -
Asda's half price offer includes all shades.
I wouldnt recommend the Boots holiday glow. Both me and my daughter tried it when it was on bogof and it is really streaky.:rotfl:0 -
I am a fake tan queen and have tried most on the market.. I think the Johnsons one is pretty good for the money!
I bought one yesterday at £ 2.48(half price) in Superdrug. Be careful-the box sets were more expensive than buying the body lotion and face cream seperate!! HTH
As with most fake creams, it is always better to apply in the morning, not sure why, but you tend to avoid any patchiness and streaks.
BTW one of my friends does not tan at all, even abroad comes back whiter than she went, she uses this and actually looks glowing (and not orange)!
So yes, for the money I would highly recommend it!
Now I am a new Mummy I have to reduce my budget, so my fave product for tanning (decleor@ £30 a go) won't be used as much..
HTH

Thought the smell was ok with this actually?
Top tip, as with all tanning creams, make sure you wash your hands well afterwards..

I have used this because my Mum gave me a bottle but I don't think I will be buying it again. I have been using the L'Oreal moisturising tanning cream and I really rate this.
You do have to exfoliate really well every few days and sort of start again but that is not too much of a hardship. Combined with Clairns face tanning milk I have built up a lovely tan that has received many compliments!
I agree with the above poster, wash your hands very well afterwards. Dry your hands and then rub a little of the cream down from your arms over the back of your hands and wrists again so it looks natural, then wash your fingertips again. Avoid washing up or using water for a couple of hours afterwards.
St Tropez is great as well, but it is time consuming as you have to exfoliate VERY well, then moisturise VERY well and take your time applying it. I would not bother unless you have an hour spare to prepare yourself and a good 30 mins to dry out properly (in front of a fan is best!).0 -
Once you get the hang of St. Tropez it only takes 4 or 5 minutes to apply to your whole body. I know you're supposed to moisturise but to be honest I just apply a little moisturiser to ankles and elbows, then get the St. Tropez on. I've never had streaks and it lasts really well. Only thing is it does smell a little but I think most fake tans do!0
