I normally use exisiting listings to create new listings for products I have and don't ever have an issue with EAN numbers if I don't have them for a product as it gives the option in the box. However I have decided to create a custom listing template for some new home ornaments I'm selling and this time around the EAN number doesn't give me the option of not applicable. I make these ornaments myself so surely I don't have to create barcodes for each individual item sold? Can I just put N/A where it requests the EAN number or will it not recognise that?

It should accept 'does not apply' as most of my listings are set up like that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Most of my listings have the EAN box starred as mandatory but I've left them blank as I didn't know them for most of what I've listed (used clothing).0

You can buy unique codes & images on ebay. A quick search gave over 600 results. 99p gets you 30 or so, plenty for most small businesses. I got 100 3 years ago when this was rumoured to become mandatory. Some of my original numbers are now in the ebay catalogue on similar products.0

i never use the EAN number as it often links my listing to the item in Ebay's catalogue. I usually dont wish for this as I often sell pre-loved items. I choose from the drop down "does not apply" or whatever the wording isYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0
