Emails from Paypal can be an anomaly but you would (or should) have seen it had you logged in as you say you did.

Unfortunately if you miss the deadlines you don't get any further time.

Thanks for all your help and advice.

Feel a bit conned in that I never received any emails re: the case opening, it's status and it closing but it is what it is. Like I said they contacted me via email when a previous case was opened like 2 years ago.

Anyhow, I've emptied my PayPal balance and put it all into my bank account. I had close to £2K in there from when a friend borrowed money and sent it back via PayPal.
