Does anybody know how much money you can transfer a day between Nationwide accounts? With Barclays, I am only allowed to transfer £1000 a day. Also is it better if paying a large sum of money to somebody to get the bank to write the cheque or to use one's own. I guess, it will not make much difference but I thought if using the bank cheque, then the recipient will know there is enough cash whereas your own cheque could always bounce. Thanks

You can do a transfer with a Nationwide Visa debit card to any account with any bank/building society, up to the maximum you have in your flex account. This ought to be acceptable to any retailer.
Alternatively, if it is a private individual, then go to your (or his) bank and make the transfer there."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

i was reading the details of their regular savings account and it states that you can only use it with the card.
Can someone confirm if this account does not allow CHAPS in and out?0 -
AFAIK you need a flex account before you can open a regular savings account with NW. You can transfer money in and out of the regular savings via the flex account."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
