The problem with the old matrix advisory limits is that they are often ignored because the reason for the limit has long since passed and nobody has bothered to switch them off. This happens a lot on the M5 south of Bristol.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • I often see 50 mph signs on the M5 in Gloucestershire. They're just yellow metal signs and there's usually just one on the side of the road. There is never one further along to say the limit has ended and again I seem to be the only one who takes any notice and slows down. (I really am paranoid about getting fined again).
