Car Insurance quote details blocked- for how long?

Hi guys,
So the past week or so I have been searching for car insurance quotes and my policy is up early October. I had been checking roughly twice a day for about a week. Only today have I checked and everywhere is saying they cannot provide me with an insurance quote. I rang up and they said that I have searched with my details too many times, as I have just also read in other threads.
My question is, does anyone know how long this block will last? As my car insurance is due in 7 days! The woman on the phone said that they didn’t know/ couldn’t tell me...
Thanks in advance for any replies!

Nobody here can answer that but why on earth were you checking twice a day for a week.
Was this through a price comparison site? If so don't you have the results e-mailed to you? Then approach the insurer you want direct.0 -
I read it as the insurers are not providing quotes, not the comparison sites not providing results. Was this through a price comparison site? If so don't you have the results e-mailed to you? Then approach the insurer you want direct.
What were you hoping to achieve by checking twice a day for a week? This ain't the stock market, prices don't change on a daily basis.
Next time bear in mind that insurance quotes appear on your credit file. If you are so obsessed with running searches so often - use fake details with a neighbouring post code0 -

Errrr...... why?
Not sure anyone else will have experience of this as most of us will simply check the market and make a choice. Your research seems a little excessive.0
