Strange sound problem on PC

Hi,

I can't seem to get any sound on my PC when using Media Player, Real Player, the internet (Youtube etc ) and even no sound on Startup or shutdown.

BUT when I use PowerDVD player sound seems fine.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

  • Sounds like either you've muted the soundcard or the drivers for it need reinstalling. Have you looked at Device Manager to see if your soundcard is listed or has a red mark next to it?

  • Thanks for the reply.

I've sorted it, I think my kid was playing Midtown Maddness (after interrogating him) and then the PC must have crashed.

I just went back into the game and the sound came back.
