Payment service providers shall be allowed not to apply strong customer authentication, subject to compliance with the requirements laid down in Article 2, where the payer initiates a contactless electronic payment transaction provided that the following conditions are met:

They also don't seem to require a C&P transaction after a random number of contactless payments. But then they didn't seem to fall under the cap to interbank transaction charges either.0 -
I fail to see why having to enter your pin when doing a contactless payment is anything to be embarrassed about. As it happens I make sufficient chip and pin payments (with pin) in between contactless ones that I have never had to enter my pin with contactless ever. I think using chip and pin resets the contactless counter.0

No issues with TSB - only once have I been asked for a PIN.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
