DWP overpayment Again...

Firstly no one answers their phones, now another £4,949 put into my account by DWP - called them up couldn't get through, now it is the 2nd time they put a large payment into my account. I can't be asked with them anymore, I've told them I'm working I don't need the money, I don't think I qualify, but they disagree with me saying its money I should have received. I don't get it.

Have you claimed benefits in the past?0 -
Have they put a note in the journal explaining what the payment is for?
Why don't they overpay me by mistake 0 -
What benefits were you claiming the in the past? No one can help you without more information....Firstly no one answers their phones, now another £4,949 put into my account by DWP - called them up couldn't get through, now it is the 2nd time they put a large payment into my account. I claimed DLA then moved to ESA/PIP and they're sending me money from ESA and also from PIP, they're saying I am entitled to it, and they will not take the money back, they're saying the money was owed to me, but I've told them I don't think I was entitled to them. Another person said, I didn't play the system so I should be backdated everything I should have been entitled to. My father keeps saying I shouldn't worry about it. He is alright with his high-class lifestyle but then he bitcthes when something goes wrong.0 -

First they told me I need to give them money back, I think it was something like 65K now, they're paying me back saying it was a mistake and that actually I was entitled to more but for some reason the correct descriptors were not applied, however now they have and saying not to worry about anything, and all the money us mine?0 -
For the PIP then it could possible be from when the rules changed for following and planning a journey.I claimed DLA then moved to ESA/PIP and they're sending me money from ESA and also from PIP, they're saying I am entitled to it, and they will not take the money back, they're saying the money was owed to me, but I've told them I don't think I was entitled to them. For the ESA then DWP have underpaid people from a long time ago if you were claiming incapacity benefit before ESA. If you weren't then it could be something totally different, like the severe disability premium.
As you've already asked the reasons why you've received that payment and you've been told you've been unpaid then it's most likely correct. Have you received a letter confirming why you've received the money? Usually letters are received after you receive the money in your bank. When you do receive the letter i'd advise you to keep it, just incase they do say in future that it was an error.0 -

Yes, they said just not to worry about it, they're saying the next payment will also be around 4K !!!!!!? they're saying they owe me a lot of money. One guy said to me, from DWP you're not a chancer, saying ppl try it on.
I told them I'm going to waste all the money on a holiday, they said it is your money and your choice what you do with it. Saying more is on the way. I'm just confused, I had to suffer and go through so much pain, I almost overdosed over prescription medication because I was in so much pain. But despite everything, I still try to work and do my best so not to be called a scrounger. I was very depressed getting my giro, I was treated like a dirty, dirty criminal, to be honest, they only decided to all this when they realised my father is top-lawyer.
Anyway, going to use the money to go to London get drunk and let my hairdown.0 -

Or you could just put the money in a savings account until the matter is cleared up. If they have made the mistake you think they have, they will want it back. And they are not shy in asking for it in ways most people do not like.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

I'd like to think they aren't going to spend all of the money on one night out in London.0
