Ex Thomas Cook hotels - how will they survive?

Sunrise royal makadi in hurgada harms pushed it's prices up, basically a 2 week stay there now costs more than a 2 week stay there including flights was before.
Loyal guests are going elsewhere, as prices have pretty much doubled.

The last holiday I booked with TC, we paid for a 4 bedroom apartment for our family of 5, so the kids could each have a separate room.



When we arrived the hotel assigned us a 2 bed one, with a pull-out bed in the living area and told us that sleeps 5.



I said that was unacceptable and that I wanted what I had ordered and paid for.


I stood my ground and the hotel reluctantly agreed.


During the process, I showed them my bill and I could see that they were shocked at what I had paid, compared to their published rates; TC had applied a healthy mark-up, that's for sure!


That was some years ago, and was the last package holiday I booked.
