Are you a FB Admin ?

Recently I became responsible for a FB page/group. It is public, viable and it states :-

"Any member can add members but an admin or moderator must approve them", so when anyone asks to join, I allow. This is then recorded by FB and where it shows in Admin activity, their name etc I can see.

Quite by chance yesterday, I took a screen shot about 8am and can see the number of members. At 8pm it had increased by one. Yet I haven't received a request for anyone to join. How can this be ?.

One theory is that FB is recording slow.

The other is this. I have sent out several messages to photographers to gauge their views on joining. With it a link to the page. If either of them took it up and joined, would that eliminate the need for my approval?, hence the number increase.

If there was an option to see recently joined members, I would know, but it dosent. So other than scrolling through the membership list of 384, etc. I know it's no big deal, but I would like to know.

PS, DAMN!, sorted. I looked again and saw there was an option in a drop-down menu to see Join Date, and there was one for yesterday. Added by an ex admin. So, I'm thinking maybe a member CAN add without my approval. Will put it to the test.
