Thank you for your lovely posts and messages about my eye. All went great and the world is now so much clearer :) Long wait as expected but well worthwhile

Yesterday was a long work day with far too much rain Dinner was left over sausage casserole and a flat bread. Today is calmer as the booking was cancelled at 5 last night great news as it was in Birmingham so would have meant daft o'clock this morning for travel... as it stands I get paid but can stay here :) Doing a bacon and mushroom pasta with garlic bread for dinner later quick and easy.

I have question to pose...its a weird one....I have two electric toothbrushes and one charger thing (don't ask) Anyway I use one till it needs recharged then swap it for the other one on the charger and so on ......so somewhere on the way for the swap I have lost one toothbrush!!!! I do have a mashed brain often especially in the morning but seriously how the flip have I lost it. Any thoughts welcomed and no suggestion bar the fridge will be discounted....Nutty woman alert Have great day xx

Jackie, I have read that you need to re-register with TPS after a while so that might be worth a try. Some of these calls come from overseas though so TPS probably isn't the answer. The only other solution I can think of is to get one of those phones which only lets through the callers you want. It takes time to set them up with the numbers you want and then if people call who aren't registered in the phone they say their name and you are able to allow the call through and then add them if you want. Obviously that will cost something but may be worth it.

dumpling, I used to argue with my father, we were too alike, stubborn and opinionated, things were better when I moved out.

We've been painting the bedroom in between watching events in and out of Parliament unfold. I also went to the fent shop in Skipton and got fabric to make new cushions for the dining chairs.

Hopefully we'll get the bedroom finished before Friday morning when the new carpet comes.
  • Snoozer you could be right I think I am going to invest in a new phone to block these unwanted calls as its becoming a nuisance because I can never just leave it to ring in case its one of my DGS or DDs and they would worry if I didn't answer ,especially in the evening as they invariably know my where abouts and know when I am at home. Managed to get some really nice off the bone ham for tomorrows lunch with my friend and even a decent slice of gorgeous looking quiche lorraine as a treat. I normally make my own ,but had run out of time today.Have been helping DGS Henry get all his bits together for this weekend and his foray into the world of academia.Having been at work for the summer he seems a lot more grown up and confident than he was back in May and he is really looking forward to the challenge. My DD is going to find it very strange as will I as four of the tribe will have flown off into the world DGS Ben is having a great time apparently living in London and is enjoying his teaching job DGS Jack has settled back into Uni in Hertfordshire and this weekend DGS Henry will be off to Essex Uni to start his first year.We will only have DGS Mikey left to spoil a little I think he will mis his big brothers though ,for all their arguments,( and boys do argue at times ) they are quite a close knit group of lads bless them DGD Katie is blooming and her second little girl is cooking nicely in her tummy She is due to make an appearance on or around New Years Eve. I shall start making her a new baby blanket next week and have found a nice pattern already.

Right well its time to start making dinner so I am offski
    Have a good evening chums

    JackieO xx
