Shower door roller help!

Hello knowledgeable folks of MSE!
One of the rollers on our shower door has broken, i.e. the ball bearing part has. OH removed the part, took it to the local B&Q (and subsequently lost the entire thing grrr) and on their shrugging their shoulders has decided that we need a whole new shower cubicle.
Ha!
Over my money-saving dead body!
I was delighted to find that e-bay sell replacement rollers (of course) and was just getting ready to rub his nose in _that_ when I realised that they have rings which are either completely flat or completely rounded. And ours, of course, is flat with a bevelled edge.
The only advice on replacing a faulty roller was found on Family Handyman .com which specifically warns: "But be sure the original and replacement edges match—either rounded or flat."
It doesn't say why.
So I'd like to know if anyone out there happens to know where I might buy a replacement flat roller with bevelled edge and/or what the consequences of using a different shape might be...
Totally appreciate any pointers. Thank you!

Find a teenager in your extended family who has a 3D printer. I bet he'll be able to knock up a replica, if you give him one to copy.0

Just in case anyone else has the same problem:
these guys are ace: showerdoorparts.co.uk
Sent them some photos and measurements of the rollers, they sent me a link to what they thought would fit, I ordered it, fitted perfectly, job done.
Take that, knee-jerk capitalism!0
