Buyer wants to return phone

  • Have you any photos from the sale? From the look of things, phone will be returned to you. Take photos on return, put them against each other and start a claim that the item was not returned in the condition it was sent to the buyer.
  • Some people sell faulty mobiles but they completely gut it, i.e. take out practically every component, buyers think it can be an easy fix not knowing seller has stripped it bare.

That is why I always avoid buying faulty items. Your buyer may have thought the same thing, pick up a faulty iphone 7, fix it and resell it. Spent a whole month trying to fix it, failed and now just wants a refund. Or they may have stripped it themselves and plan to return it in even worse condition.

Items sold as faulty with no returns should be as stated, when I sell faulty items I always stick labels onto the screw connectors, that way I'll know if it has been opened and the buyer will also know they can't just tamper with it without me knowing.
  • The only fault that I was aware of was the smashed casing/screen, it was only used by myself and had never been repaired so I should be able to tell if anything has happened to the phone. It was at least turning on when I sent it albeit through a very smash and non- working touch screen.
Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!
