Me and my fianc! are looking to buy our first home together and have found a Davis\d Wilson site we like. We’ve looked twice now at the show home. We noticed however that their is possibly thousands in extras we need to add on, for the kitchens, bathrooms carpets etc to upgrade them.
Has anyone had experience with them? Is their finished product to a high standard? A\

We moved into our David Wilson Home in April.
Have to say we have been really impressed with the quality of the build, however this will vary from site to site depending on the contractors they have used on that specific site.
Our home was complete and ready to move into when we bought it so we didn't get a choice of fixtures and fittings but I have to say that we are really happy with the kitchen and bathroom fittings which have been installed and the flooring throughout. All of which I believe are from their standard range.
On the site we have bought on David Wilson are building alongside their parent company Barratt Homes and the David Wilson Homes have got a better finish to them with higher spec fixtures and fittings and flooring. The standard carpets in the David Wilson for example are the upgraded carpets in the Barratt Homes houses. The price of the finished house does reflect this though.
We are really very happy with our house. We have had some snagging to be rectified but you can expect that with any house and what we have had has been rectified in a swift and efficient manner.0
