I can't see the thread and I'm guessing I_A has toddled off to Argos-ville for the day....
Been to town to bank the cheque for the car and it clears Thursday.
Was wooed by the Iceland adverts throughout I'm a Celebrity and ventured into the shop and ended up buying a load of party food:o . As nobody ever comes to see me, it could be party food weekly until about March.:rotfl:
My phone line is down - again - I'm not impressed with Virgin. The cabinet at the end of the street is old and over full and this the second time in as many months. Last time the guy said he was having lots of problems with the cabinet. I'll have to pop round to OH's house and call from there as he is with them as well.
I haven't heard about the job in the school I applied for and it said if I hadn't heard by the 26th I was unsuccessful
Bit sad to be honest, it would have been ideal.
Better start AQA'ing I guess.........

staying in today to iron and sort out what I dont need to sell on ebay.
Also going to do my online surveys.
Did a large shop last night so enough food for the next 10 days so going to stick menu plan to fridge door so we stick to it.
Hopefully going to be a good day.
Will stay in tonight as OH brought 3 cases of beer for £20.00 so that is a huge saving on going out where he will normally blow around £50.00. there is enough beers to last either 5 nights in or 3 if we have friends round, means a saving of between £90 - £150 which is great.Just starting to face up to my debts.
Aim for December is to just try and get through without running up anymore debts at this expensive time. Also going to spend my time off over xmas working out a plan for next year.
Would like to be debt free by 30 ( 3 years to go)

I'm supposed to be working (studying) aswell. Finding it a bit difficult to motivate myself though.0

Does anyone know anything about cars ~ or more specifically hydraulic (sp) clutchs?:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0

Ste, get back to your studies right now or else!
Did that motivate you?Oh, well, then I'm all out of ideas. Sorry!
I am not in the mood to do anything. I am supposed to be wrapping all the stuff I sold on ebay but I put an envelope down and now I can't find it.
I want to be a cat. My cat is asleep by the radiator looking as happy as anything. My OH is also asleep, looking happy in a slightly gormless way. So it's quite tempting to go have a snooze too. But I won't because it's only a month to Christmas  and I'm sure there's stuff I'm supposed to be doing.0 -
Sorry, tigtag, I don't know anything about clutches

Hello everyone. I have just settled on the sofa with a duvet and "grumpy" the 3 year old. He is getting to watch Nick Jr (big treat) in return for some peace and quiet for me. I feel so guilty when I don't drag him out for some fresh air, but I don't suppose a day indoors will hurt him.
Sorry tigtag, I know nothing about hydraulic things other than it makes repairing citroens expensive so I'm never having one.0 -
Nope, I know nothing about hydraulic clutches. I googled it and I'm still none the wiser.
What make and model is the car? And what specifically do you need to know?0 -
Thanks all ~ I have found a VW site and asked on there but I dont know how busy it is. Here's the post for you all just in case we have a mechanic lurking
:
Hi all
Hoping you can answer me a clutch question but please dont be too techie as I am but a mere girly
OH driving up the road the other day when the clutch *went* ~ he pulled over and found lots of little bits of white plastic in the footwell.
It appears that the bracket that holds the cable (well, we thought cable but Mr Mechanic Man says its hydraulic (sp?)) to the pedal has snapped and we thought it would be a pretty simple job.
Garage are pratting us about time wise but have this morning told us that the part he has bought was £60-odd and it will take a couple of hours to change the cylinder!!
Up to taking the car (which he drove offwhen we thought he was gonna tow it) all he had done is look it the footwell.
After all that wittering I suppose my question is do you think we are about to be ripped off? We have a 2000 2l sport Bora.
Thanks all in advance.:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
